Former Solid State Records band Destroy The Runner informed us recently that the band is working hard on a new album for the new year. Below is their report from their vocalist Chad to us...

"We are recording our 3rd studio album right now, and it is going great so far. Way heavier, screaming, breakdowns, shredding guitars, double bass...haha. The whole bit.

Jordan Mancino(As I Lay Dying) will be playing all of the drums on the new record, and we are having many well known guest vocalists from today's scene.

Also, we are releasing a B-side from our first album "Saints", but with my vocals on it.

The B-side is entitled "Sinners", and we will be releasing it online this month."

As the band continues their Family Force 5 Christmas Pageant Tour without their beloved brother and bass player Joshua "Fatty" Olds, the band recently addressed the fans personally to offer a word of thanks for their support...

"To our Fan Family,
Family Force 5 / the Olds family would like to thank our friends everywhere for their messages of love and support sent concerning the condition of Joshua aka Fatty. Please keep Joshua in your thoughts and prayers as it is working - he is slowly getting better. Our sincerest apologies to our fans who had planned to come out to our canceled shows in Charleston, IL and Greenwood, IN. We had to focus on the health of our brother and be with our family in that time. The Family Force 5 Christmas Pageant tour will resume in Cincinatti, OH and continue till the end of the tour in Jacksonville, FL without our beloved bass player and monster showman, Fatty. He will return home to heal, missing shows for the first time in the band's 5-year span (he is FF5's Cal Ripken). We will not be replacing him on this run (he is irreplaceable) and hope you will come out and celebrate in his honor! Bring cards, posters, chicken fingers, or anything you think that will cheer Fatty up as he is recuperating in the hospital. We will make sure he receives everything you bring him :)
